DIY - Chained necklace with fresh pastel colors and charms
An addictive jewelry technique with a super cool result! With the "kettle" jewelry technique, you can create the most beautiful pieces of jewelry. Including this beautiful charm necklace! It takes a little more time than stringing a necklace onto steel wire, but it's really fun to do!
Make sure you have jewelry pliers handy, because you'll definitely need them for this necklace. It does take some strength to make this necklace, since you have to twist the eyes onto the wire and trim the excess wire with pliers. Make sure your hands get plenty of rest in between, otherwise you'll get cramps—I speak from experience, haha. If you're a bit more experienced, you can easily make this necklace in one piece. Just see how it feels for you and get started!
As I mentioned, this jewelry-making technique is called "linking": connecting small pieces of wire. You use "linking pins." These already have one eyelet, and you attach the other eyelet yourself once you've strung the beads on.
Here you'll find the tutorial page with step-by-step instructions on how to make a headlock! Follow each step carefully and look at the pictures, and you'll get the hang of it in no time. The kit includes some extra headlock pins so you can practice too!
