Crimp beads gold color 2mm, 5 grams

These crimp beads are made of brass metal and are 2x2mm in size. The hole is 1mm in size. Each bag contains 5 grams, which is approximately 400 crimp beads.

Crimp beads are generally used to secure beading wire. For example, if you want to make a loop in beading wire to attach a clasp, crimp beads come in handy. Make the loop as large as you like and carefully squeeze the crimp bead shut with flat-nose pliers. Easy! You can also use crimp beads in combination with crimp covers. Secure a crimp bead onto the wire, 'fold' a crimp cover around the crimp bead, and attach a jump ring to the cover to finish it off with a clasp or extension chain.

Crimp beads are also sometimes used on elastic. I personally find this less secure because crimp beads do not hold as well on elastic. There is a much greater chance that it will break or not grip properly, or that the elastic will snap. People do it, so it is an option, but I don't recommend it. ;) It is best to use beading wire!
